THE SWEET DETAILS

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before turning a tiny moment into an edible loop.

01What is a zoetrope, and how does it work?

A zoetrope is a spinning animation viewer with a sequence of images arranged around the inside of a cylinder. When the cylinder spins and you look through its evenly spaced slots, each slot briefly isolates one frame. Your eyes blend those rapid glimpses into one moving loop. FlickerBonbon uses 15 edible frames to create that same playful illusion.

02What comes in a starter set?

Each starter set includes one personalized 15-frame edible strip and one reusable zoetrope viewer. Current prices and additional-strip prices appear in the pricing section.

03What are the three product styles?

Pure Chocolate uses molded monochrome relief, Color Candy preserves bright edible colors, and Embossed Candy adds raised tactile image detail.

04How much video becomes the animation?

First choose a two-second section from the lightweight full-video timeline. The studio imports only that section; then you drag a second selector to fine-tune the one-second, 15-frame loop with no extra commit step.

05Can I reposition my photo or video?

Yes. Drag the crop preview to pan, use the zoom control, and choose either a square 1:1 frame or a portrait 4:5 frame.

06Does my photo or video upload to the cloud?

No. Preview media is decoded and transformed inside your browser using temporary device memory. It is not sent with the contact form and disappears when the page closes or reloads unless you save or share the finished strip.

07What can I upload?

Only media you own or have permission to use. Do not upload illegal, sexually explicit, exploitative, hateful, harassing, privacy-violating, or otherwise inappropriate content.

08Can I use a movie, character, celebrity, logo, or social-media image?

Only if you own the necessary rights or have clear permission. Public availability does not make an image free to reproduce, and a person’s likeness may require consent.

09Is the Chocolate preview an exact manufacturing proof?

No. It is a visual simulation of a molded height-map relief. Chocolate, candy, molds, printers, lighting, and ingredients can change the physical result.

10How do I save the 15-frame strip on iPhone?

Tap Prepare 15-frame strip, then Share / Save. Choose Save to Files or Save Image. You can also open the full-size strip and press and hold it.

11What about ingredients and allergens?

Ingredients and allergen details depend on the final product and production facility. Confirm dietary needs before ordering; a preview does not confirm suitability.

12Which free tools power the people and depth features?

The optional in-browser person mask uses Google's MediaPipe Image Segmenter and Selfie Segmentation model (Apache 2.0). The separate operator-only Depth Studio credits Apple's Depth Pro, PyTorch, Gradio, NumPy, SciPy, OpenCV, Pillow, and Trimesh. Full licenses and notices ship with the local tool.
